At LRL Engineering, we are deeply committed to environmental health and sustainability. Our team conducts and implements the necessary assessments and strategies to preserve and protect the conditions of your site or project for the benefit of all parties involved. Some activities that our environmental engineers and hydrogeological consultants carry out include, but are not limited to, wastewater management, waste disposal, control of water and air pollution, and improving overall public health.

In analyzing your construction project, we make sure to thoroughly assess its economic and environmental impact as well as site sustainability, while also finding solutions in addressing public health matters related to the project.

PHASE I & II ENVIRONMENTAL SITE ASSESSMENTS (ESAs)

During environmental site assessments (ESAs), our engineers and consultants will go through a systematic process to identify the existence and level of soil or groundwater contamination on a site or property.

ENVIRONMENTAL Compliance approvals (ECA)

An ECA is a permit issued by the Ontario Ministry of the Environment to allow and control the storage, management, transportation or release of possible pollutants or wastes. For select activities, a less elaborate registration is needed which is referred to as an Environmental Activity and Sector Registry (EASR). Out team can assist with the application process commencing from determining what approval your industry needs, filing the required applications, and following through with subsequent reviews and evaluations.

SITE DECOMMISSIONING & REMEDIATION

Call on us if you need to decommission current operations and activities at your site or treat and remove contamination and pollutants, surface water, groundwater, soil, or sediment.

HYDROGEOLOGICAL ASSESSMENTS

To properly assess the impacts of proposed developments on groundwater resources, our consultants will perform thorough hydrogeological assessments.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENTS (Eias)

Our environmental technicians implement EIAs to determine the environmental, social, human-health, cultural and economical impacts of a particular project or development.

DESIGNATED SUBSTANCE SURVEYS & ABATEMENT MONITORING (ASBESTOS, MOULD, LEAD, Mercury, ETC.)

These surveys determine whether or not hazardous substances are present on all types of sites. We can also review, inspect and provide the necessary clearance testing of abatement work.

ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING

Environmental monitoring consists of long-term assessments of the environmental impacts of projects. Types of monitoring include soil and groundwater contamination, chemical, microbiological, and more.

EXCESS SOILS
