Contamination Management Plan: Soil Vapour Sampling Program

LRL is involved in a number of monitoring programs and contamination management plans throughout the Ottawa Region. Soil vapour probes are used at select sites to determine the concentrations of volatile organic compounds within the subsurface matrix to support future decisions on remedial efforts or to determine the potential risk to occupants of the subject property and neighbouring lands. Several steps are needed to ensure a representative sample is collected from each probe location. This includes probe leak testing prior to the collection of the sample.
